Periodontist
Dr. Borna trained as a general dentist at New
York University College of Dentistry followed
by a residency in general dentistry. He practiced
general dentistry in Southern California for five
years before deciding to specialize. He received
his Certificate in Periodontics from Temple
University. Most recently he received his diplomate
from the International
Misch Implant Institute for attendance at a
series of Surgical, Prosthetic and Advanced bone
grafting clinical workshops. Dr. Borna specializes
in both conventional periodontics and all methods
of advanced bone grafting and implantology.
Dr. Borna is married and lives with his wife and
two young daughters in Brentwood, California.
Harvey Freed, D.D.S.
Periodontist
Dr. Freed graduated from the University
of Southern California's School of Dentistry
as a general dentist. He then began practice as
a general dentist for four years before deciding
to specialize. Dr. Freed returned to USC to gain
his Certificate in Periodontics. He established
a private periodontal practice in Century City.
Dr. Freed has taught at both the UCLA
School of Dentistry and the USC Dental School.
He is currently a Surgical Consultant in the Graduate
Periodontology Division at the Veterans Administration
in Westwood, California. He has also given
many Continuing Education courses around the country.
Dr. Freed has been consistently active in organized
dentistry. He has been President of California
Society of Periodontist and Western Society
of Periodontology. He has served many years on the
Board
of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Freed lives with his wife in Pacific Palisades,
California. He has one grown son.
